It is official, Chris Cole has made the switch over to DC from Fallen. I’m looking forward to seeing where this new venture goes. Chris’ debut shoe is slated to drop Fall ’11.

2. Did Rip N Dip start off as a skate crew or a clothing company?
It started off as a joke, with a few friends, about making a clothing company. Then the name stuck, everyone was really hyped on the name, the commercials, and the whole idea behind it.

Shane O’Neill & The Skate Mentality

As everyone who skateboards is aware, The Berrics and Skate Mental released a digital download of Shane O’Neill’s unreleased video part. It was hyped up on The Berrics as being one of the best video parts ever, as judged by “legitimate” pros, and then was put up for the sale price of $2.99. This video is a highlight reel showing the Plan B riders at The Berrics skate park. These riders are pushing street skating to amazing technical levels. I have never seen this amount of mind blowing skating in one film clip. This clip is gaining popularity on the web with over 100,000 documented views in 4 days. The riders in this clip include Scott Decenzo, Ryan Sheckler, Pat Duffy, PJ Ladd, Paul Rodriguez, Torey Pudwill, and Felipe Gustavo. The video starts and ends with the AMs (Scott and Torey) as the bread of the Pro sandwich.

Scott is up first and demonstrates complete domination of tail slides. With flips in, flips out, shovits out, and other combos this kid shows us that he’s got the skills to win any street contest. It’s hard to believe that this level of skating is considered amateur. […]

If you have been paying attention to skateboarding during the past couple of weeks, then the name on the tip of your tongue lately has probably been Tom Asta. I think it is safe to say that most of us weren’t hip to Tom until we heard about the uncharacteristic Zero part that he shared with the Man Skater of the Year, Chris Cole. Upon seeing this part, the general reaction was, “Rap in a Zero video?” and “Who is Tom Asta?” follow by an immediate, “That guy rips!”. […]
