Click, click, click. Selfish, Selfish, Selfish. Selfish on every page, every blog, and in every magazine. Just when everyone thought professional skateboarder Jereme Rogers was long gone doing some rap shindig or guest starring on the Bad Girls Club TV show, he decides to create Selfish Skateboards. Um okay, hold up.

Newsflash: the hype isn’t focused on Rogers’ retirement or comeback anymore but who’s ON Selfish. Each member’s story will reveal why the Selfish Skateboards team is so hot right now!

Skating Wirelessly: i360 Music Infused Apparel

December 22, 2010

By: OhioSkateUniv

Being only a few days away from Christmas, now is the time to figure out those last minute gifts and/or plan how to spend that Christmas cash. If you’re anything like me, then skateboarding and music go hand-in-hand. But, listening to music while skating tends to have its problems; the cords get in the way, the headphones get disconnected, the iPod flies out of your pocket, etc…

DIY, so Hot Right Now!

Build boards, get babes!

For some people getting technical means doing freestyle longboard maneuvers or flip-in-flip-out skateboard tricks. Others know how to work with their hands, me not being one of them. Luckily, Silverfish Longboarding introduced me to longboarder Spencer Whitworth who has mad building skills. In a few easy steps, you will know how to shape and paint your very own board.

Snagging a few cute ladies to help: optional but highly recommended.

December 10, 2010

By OhioSkateUniv

Sk8Mafia put together this dope commercial for the latest colorway of eS’ Square Two. eS has a long-standing tradition of combining  technology and function to bring you shoes equipped to handle any kind of skating you put them through. And, with Kellen James being at the forefront of tech skating, that should stand as enough proof that the Square Two is no exception.

Dylan Osborne, so Hot Right Now!

December 6, 2010

Words and photograph by Sydney Goldberg

Most 13-year-old boys are kicking around soccer balls or dreaming about girls. Not Dylan Osborne, he is showing up hesh skaters twice his age. His dirt biking parents built him a full-fledged skatepark in his basement! Osborne is straight out of Bloomington, Ind., home of the Hoosiers and skateboarding prodigies. He is the youngest member of the Rise Skateboard Shop family which has fostered Lee Bender, Kris Markovich, Steve Fauser, and Jeremiah Smith. In 2007, Dylan placed in the final 25 of Cartoon Network‘s national street skating competition “Toonami Klik Tour.” This kid is a diamond in the rough, and with the right shot expect him to give Sheckler a run for his money.

Catch Osborne in Rise’s shop video “Stolen Saddles,” premiering Dec. 10.
